Amazon Associates Program
SmartHome.shalkot.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and other Amazon stores worldwide.
What this means for you: If you click a product link on our site and buy something on Amazon, we earn a small commission. This costs you nothing extra. Amazon prices are the same whether you use our link or go direct.
Example: If we link to the Eufy E340 Video Doorbell for $149.99 and you buy it, Amazon pays us approximately $6.00. That helps us buy more products to test.

We only join affiliate programs for products we have tested or would recommend to family. We never join a program just for commission rates.
Display Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads on some pages. These ads are marked as “Advertisement” or “Sponsored”. We control ad placement to avoid interfering with content. We use 1-2 manual ads per post and do not use pop-ups or auto-play video ads.
How Affiliate Links Do NOT Influence Our Reviews
Our rankings and opinions are never for sale. Here’s our promise:
- We buy everything ourselves. As stated in our editorial policy, we never accept free products. Brands cannot pay for better reviews.
- Commission rates don’t change scores. Product A may pay 8%, and Product B pays 3%. If Product B is better, it ranks higher. Period.
- We link to non-affiliates. If the best product has no affiliate program, we still link to it. Example: Some Matter devices from small brands.
- We show total cost. Our comparison tables always include 3-year subscription costs. We recommend no-fee products even though they earn us less affiliate revenue.

Product images on this site are used under one of these licenses:
- Amazon Associates approved product images
- Manufacturer press kits with editorial use permission
- Our own photos taken during testing in Austin, TX
We do not use random images from Google. All images are credited where required.
